Established over four decades ago by Alan Dunn, Kingsway Garage has been a trusted automotive service center in the community for generations. In March 2014, Ian Hetherington took over the business, bringing with him extensive experience from his 16 years at another garage in Gosforth, where he served as an MOT tester for a decade.
The team was further strengthened when Keith Hetherington, who had owned and operated his own garage in Gosforth for more than 40 years, joined after his retirement.
A significant milestone was reached in October 2021 when Kingsway expanded to include an MOT testing bay, which now conducts approximately 1,500 MOT tests annually, demonstrating the community’s continued trust in their expertise.
